Despite the hectic times, the Estonian startup sector is keeping in shape and we are witnessing growth during the first half of 2022 in terms of employee numbers, employment taxes paid, investments raised and turnover generated. Food technologies consists any technology applied to the production, selling (including supply chain and distribution), or serving food and beverage.

The number of employees made a reasonable upswing of 22% as well. The FinTech sector is the biggest contributor in employee count and employment taxes paid during the first half of 2022. The average monthly gross salary during the first half of 2022 in the FinTech sector was 2972 EUR. In Q1 Sliptree reached maturity and EveryPay made an exit.
