Startup Estonia is looking for a Database Management intern!


Estonian Startup Database is the most extensive source of Estonian startups, powered by Startup Estonia. The database is currently home to more than 1300 startups and offers an overview of Estonian startups by ranking and filtering them by sectors, technology, stage, employee count, turnover, etc. Based on the database, Startup Estonia makes quarterly updates on the industry and gives out statistical industry overviews for the community and the wider public.

Your days as the Database Management intern in Startup Estonia will be filled with:

  • reviewing startup profiles in the database with the aim to identify outdated and inaccurate info

  • reviewing company profiles, collecting information and evaluating profiles against database criteria

  • helping with the day-to-day management of the database

  • researching and making suggestions for improving the database



  • What we expect from you:

  • higher education (studies can be ongoing), preferably in Information Management, Data Analysis (with a keen interest and proven ability to work with databases, we might also consider high school students as candidates)
  • fluency in written and spoken English (preferably Estonian, as well)

  • basic experience in working with databases and a keen interest both in the startup world & data collection and organization

  • commit yourself to us for 3-6 months at least 24 hours/week
