First ever Estonian Climate-KIC Accelerator finalised!

For four months, starting in August, the Startup Estonia team organised a study programme for cleantech startups called ‘Climate-KIC Accelerator’. This was the first time the programme ran in Estonia, having already been tested in other countries across Europe.

The aim was to help the teams become investment ready and to reach their first customers. With this aim in mind, we offered the teams nine training sessions, support of a lead mentor for each team, networking opportunities and also mentoring on specific topics (such as finance or pitching).

The five innovative teams that finished the programme are the following:

·     The 1000 Days

·     Reverse Resources

·     Sympower

·     NotesNote

·     VeggieRadar

Two Estonian teams got recognition at the Climate-KIC  Venture Competition in Poland: Reverse Resources won  a grant of 20,000€ to develop their business;  Sympower  was selected to represent Estonia at the  European final  of the whole Climate-KIC Accelerator  network.

We wish the teams the best of luck and hope to    organise the same programme again next year to help in  the creation cleantech success stories!
