Application deadline for accelerator fund management is nearing!
There is an ongoing call for accelerator fund managers to bring Estonian startup investments to a completely new level and launch two company builder type accelerators with a clear focus on our very own #EstonianMafia family and all the attractive startups. On top of the investments by SmartCap, Startup Estonia is going to finance the acceleration services of two excellent investment teams who will be chosen to establish accelerator funds to shape the local startup ecosystem by bringing together entrepreneurial talent, experienced finance professionals, outstanding scientists, public sector, international mentoring and networking.
Do not miss the November 10 deadline to participate in the competitive dialogue and apply for accelerator fund management mandate here. Startup Estonia together with SmartCap, a manager of VC fund of funds, encourage all the potential candidates to participate and file in the documents via the Estonian Procurement Register over here. More information on expectations, focus areas and the timeline is available in our previous blogpost, although we strongly suggest everyone to still use the chance to ask any questions or clarifications via the Procurement Register, before you send in your application.
Startup Estonia is expecting qualified serial entrepreneurs and early stage investors to participate at the procurement and through that enhance innovative enterprises, help them be disruptive, grow and go global. With smart money and skilled VC teams, SmartCap and Startup Estonia aim to supply local startups with the missing pieces of the success puzzle to build up the skills necessary for establishing a solid business concept and taking it to international markets by providing financing for:
acceleration services up to 2.8 MEUR in total and up to 1.4 MEUR per team;
fund investments up to 8.4 MEUR in total and up to 4.2 MEUR per fund.
Good luck to all the applicants!
Please note that no negotiations with the candidates will be held at the stage of submitting applications and at the stage of verifying the qualification. To obtain additional information, questions must be posed via the eRHR environment over here. The questions must be posed in English. All the answers to the questions will be available here.
